Reflecting these uncertain times & the threat of Coronavirus, this concert has been postponed.

The Keith Little Swing Trio will return to TenbyJazz, hopefully with guest vocalist Jane Williams, next year.

There’ll be Swing from the 40s, a touch of Dixieland and some great melodies. Inspired by the Swing Music of Benny Goodman, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong and the like, the varied repertoire of this lively Band also includes Jump ‘n’ Jive numbers after the  style of Louis Prima.

Jane’s exuberant vocals add a new dimension to the band’s, always polished, performance.

Led by Keith on piano, the band features Gethin Liddington on trumpet, Donnie Joe Sweeney on bass and vocals.

This concert is on Mother’s Day, so if you wanted to spoil your music loving mother, here’s your opportunity.

Kitty (Beverley Gough) and her trio play a mix of tailored swing and jazz – including classic jazz standards and original compositions.

From Ella Fitzgerald to Nina Simone, their repertoire is wide and engaging, yet always with a trick or two up their sleeves.

A great way to start our new jazz year.

Playing with Dom (sax) are John Davies (guitar), Nino Consolo (drums) & Wyn Davies (bass). The band will also feature the sultry, swinging vocals of Elaina Hoss.

Dom promises “an afternoon of American songbook & Blue Note Jazz, underwritten with Christmas themes”.

Come along to be mesmerised by this fabulous band of locals, a superb lead-in to the festive season and lead-out of our jazz year.

GW4 Jazz is Graham Watkins with 40 years experience as a Jazz pianist & arranger, Jack Williams on bass guitar, George Wilson on drums and the talented Clare Hingott on vocals.

With a repertoire of well over 300 Jazz and Swing standards from the likes of Nat King Cole, The Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and many more besides, GW4 Jazz has something to suit all occasions. As an experienced and accomplished ensemble who perform regularly at all the major Jazz venues in South Wales and beyond, they provide an exciting, entertaining Jazz performance.

Duski began back in 2009 as a jazz trio featuring Aidan Thorne alongside young tenor saxophonist Greg Sterland and that stalwart of the Welsh jazz scene, Mark O’ Connor at the drums. They have since morphed into a five piece band, with Dan Messore on guitar and Paul Jones on keyboard.

However, for this concert they appear in their four person format, minus the keys, with their new cinematically inspired music. They will play some of their favourite songs as well as some of their original music that will be featured on the up coming album Make a Wish.

Their original material has been described as ‘Progressive jazz at its best’ (Aberjazz) and ‘A refreshing taste of ambient grooved out jazz’.

The ‘Potatoes’ bring a wealth of jazz experience to their lively, characterful version of Traditional New Orleans Revival Jazz.

Some of the most resolute of South Wales’s jazz professionals, they are:-

We just adore the honest, slightly grungey, so atmospheric tunes this band manufactures out of almost nowhere. Not to be missed if you like ‘trad jazz with style’.

This concert is our contribution to this year’s Tenby Arts Festival.

Fronted by an unusual combination of clarinet, bass clarinet and vocals in several European languages, the unique, eclectic and widely appealing sound of Afternoon in Paris is delivered with a heartfelt, irresistible joie de vivre that will transport you through the jazz clubs of 1930s Paris to the grand cafés of Europe and South America.

Tudor Thomas and his friends will be playing brass, strings and enough numbers to tire out your tapping toes. In a good way, of course.

What can one say about this trio from Swansea heaven?

Dave is the keyboard wizard behind Swansea Jazzland and the Dave Cottle Trio, playing for two decades plus.

Gary is the guitar genius behind not only the Gary Phillips Trio but also The Amigos, gypsy jazz champions of West Wales.

Paul Smith has, quite simply, been playing drums for ever.

A jazz pedigree unsurpassed is coming this way, so catch it!

Bunker is a collective of musicians, inspired not only by jazz from past decades but also current and future sounds:-

Bunker shares its name with the famous Brooklyn recording studio which has been the birthplace of a new scene with elements of jazz fused with electronic music.

Inspired by the vast lineage of jazz, Bunker will be performing music which covers its whole timeline.
